Due to the temperature of the water, the kite I had, the one beer I drank , the copious amount of sun I received and the sunburnt face to go with it ; I totally forget the name of the guy who I talked to today!

Haha, no, it was me. Good to meet you in person. Someone will have to set you up on a beginner board one day eh? Or there's another technique called "here's a shortboard. go for it."

And yes I will have a go on a kite, see what all the fuss is about. It's always like that isn't it:

Now I know who Vando is too, although I'm only gonna recognise you from your sail and the pck-pck-pckpck as you fly past me.

But my god it was cold!!! And I spent far more time than usual in the water. The colder I got the more I fell in and so on. How long until frost bite kicks in as I had no sensation in my fingers or toes for at least an hour. It's all a bit detached when you can't feel the board, water or boom. I'm not for it. When I got out I was talking to someone in the water for a bit and I even was slurring my speech.

I saw a turtle. That was good.

So does Wello get the most wind in a westerly. This year the north end of the bay has got next to nothing. Or is this just dumb luck

yeah hc Ive seen your videos from wello, that is murky! I must admit we get some super clear days at shearwater and train :)

I suspect i will be at the Grand today with Mr touch up and his trusty exercet,maybe we will have to have our own international olympics.We have a Pole,French,Croatian,English,Kiwis(plenty no more please,yes i know its free),Vando is that russian or something???LOL anyone else?Any Australians out there?
