Redland City Council is planning changes to the Wellington Point Reserve that will impact on Wind Surfers, Kite Surfers and our access to rigging and parking areas.
I submitted a proposal to the Council outlining our needs, the areas required and parking issues. In particular is a solution to the current controversy over parking fines for parking in "boat trailer only" parking spaces. My suggestion is to change these parking space signs to be available to ALL from 12noon to 12midnight as boaties are not using them much after 12noon as it is windier / rougher conditions on the Bay.
