is fading fast, like a politician's promise.
No surprises though. In notice everyone has been very, very quiet. Like "hunting waaaabbit" quiet, in the hopes of not jinxing it.
Fat chance of that now !!

Sunday was looking amazing, but i've been burned by this forecast before. :p

In fact, i can't recall the forecast ever being pessimistic, or under-casting windspeed. It's designed to hype us up, then deeply disappoint.

*sad*

Yes indeed. I think there was a global cynicism, hence no exited threads at all this week.

Och weel , no skin lost.

Oh god, the sunday forecast has completely collapsed. I was going to be ok with the 21k forecast turning into a solid 15, but the decline is accelerating.

Would be a good day for badminton, or outdoor table tennis.

It's seabreeze marketing hype, propoganda designed to keep us coming back again and again. It's a conspiracy, and I'm onto you Laurie.

I've had a fair few sails this season where Seabreeze had forecast nothing special so don't give up yet.

BOM is always more accurate (IMO).

Moreton Bay Waters:
Friday until midnight: Wind: S/SW 10/15 knots. Sea: 0.7 metres. Isolated
showers and rain areas. Possible late thunderstorms.
Saturday: Wind: SW 10/15 knots early, becoming S/SE 15/20 knots during the day.
Sea: 0.7 to 1 metre. Isolated showers.
Sunday: S/SW 15/20 knots, shifting S/SE in the afternoon.

Ok, so based on that BOM forecast, where would you plan on going ? I'm catching a 1200 flight at Coolie on Sunday, so it's Saturday afternoon or very early Sunday for me.

Think its going to be Queens for me on sunday, watching the weather is a bit like watching England play football; loads of promises and hype then a total anti climax

I've checked out the Grand, but there seemed to be so little water there to me. The tide is good for Shearwater today, so I'm planning on cruising by there after lunch for a look. The forecast has improved a smidgen and she-who wants to do some ski-shopping at Southport today, so that might actually happen for me.
Unwisely, I'll probably drop into Surf FX on the way to see what other unnecessary crap I can come home with.
I've had my eye on a new guitar amp, but a Starboard GO sounds like a great winter alternative.

I thought the tide was wrong for shearwater 2day?
High tide at 4.30, you'll get like an hours sailing before it goes dark :P

Nah, knew I needed a run-out, but didn't realise high was so late. Didn't really check, but thanks for the heads up.
Grrrr, dunno what I'll do now.
Actually, an hour of good wind just before dark be quite OK for me today.
I like the idea that Currumbin might go off, but I think that is delusional thinking. There is a little hope on the graph though.
The southerly busters are just turning into southerly fizzers this year.
However, that may just bode well for a good ski season. I could almost stand no more wind until spring if it meant some massive powder dumps to get funky in.

Anything is possible. Was looking at wetties yesterday in the faint hope I might need one this year.
Do you really get early morning wind here ??
I recall going out for a blast on freezing SW days before work in winter some years ago.
