Less than a week to go and the forecast looks sweet for the few days leading up to the event!
If you haven't registered yet - please go to the link below and get your details in - this will help ensure registration runs smoothly on Saturday.

Registration & Sign On will kick off at 9:30am on Saturday at the "Comp House" - 38 Ocean St Woolgoolga. We will aim to have the skippers meeting at 1pm and kick off the Womens and Youth divisions asap on Saturday as conditions permit. We will be taking cash payments on the day, but it is preferable that you register online and pay via bank transfer.
All competitors are required to be a member of an AWA affiliated club to be covered by insurance for the event, but QLD Freewave Association will be offering an amazing $50 discounted rate for an annual membership for THIS EVENT ONLY. Please contact me if you know in advance you will want to join and I can arrange this prior to the event!
Cant wait :) See you there!

That's a bargain, my 4 year olds swimming lessons cost more than that a month. I hope you get a great turnout and the conditions are firing. Have you got a good QLD representation?
yep - a total bargain Scot!
some great QLD representation in most divisions so hopefully we can put it together and come home with some great results!
I just spoke to Will and he has let me know there are 35 competitors signed on already with a lot more expected on the day. 10 of those are Queenslanders so hopefully a few more can get down for the event to balance the ledger.
Apparently the forecast is looking great also so fingers crossed that holds.
Looks like it is going to be a great event.
How are the arrangements coming along Will? I'll bet there is a bit to organise with a national event.
Great big Northerly on its way for the event Will. I can't wave ride but how many points do big fat floaty jumps get you if any?
Am trying to convince the wife it is a good idea to sit in a car with a two and 4 year old for 6 hours so I can come down. The chinese burns seem to be working, if not I might have to resort to a crow peck or two...
Managed to convince the wife to come along to the wavesailing nationals at Wooloolba this weekend. Anyone else other than swoosh coming along? It's a bit of a rare event having it so close to home so I thought I'd try and take advantage of that and take a look.
Sounds like its going to be an awesome event and fair play to you Scott and swoosh for giving it a go, I'm very jealous. I will have to settle for queens, beaches or Caloundra .
Thanks for the vote of confidence Lee but I am going simply as a spectator only. I am no where near the league of those guys in the waves. Swoosh could compete, I've seen his twisty turney stuff at Manly and he hasn't snapped in half yet so I think that qualifies him.
Swoosh hope your not going to hide yr talent behind a spectator sand dune; and all the best Will I'm sure it'll be a big succes ![]()
PS: Will, just in case you didn't get the phone messages, the flags etc turned up at Board Crazy just before Simon left for the day so he kindly dropped them off at my office. I'll bring them down tomorrow.
Got wind today at the National Wavesailing Championships. The events have been going all morning with some amazing sailors out there giving it their best.
Hats off to the organizers who have put together an outstanding event, which I couldn't recommend more highly to anyone wanting to get involved. I am coming again next year for sure.
Even if you haven't had a lot of experience in the waves you can compete in the amatures. I did and the support and encouragement was fantastic.
