Any good spots for wave sailing on the Gold Coast for today? Main Beach or Currumbin?

Currumbin was good yesterday and will probably be again today. About 10+ out yesterday and fun waves.

Yeah I watched for about an hour (didn't have my gear) there were some really good sailors out there. It looks a bit hard to get out though, what is the secret, what size sails were you using?

Hey Edgy
Yeah there are some really good wave sailors who get out there and a good vibe.
Its not as hard as you think to get out. Just wait for a set to pass and go, bounce over a couple of foams and hope the wind stays in your sail. It doesn't always go to plan but the swim isn't too bad as you get washed in down at Palmy and get to start over. I know, I own it.
Sail sizes yesterday ranged from about 5m up to 6.3m. 6.3 was way too big when it picked up but I couldn't bring myself to miss 10mins re rigging. I have to say that the ezzy really has a good wind range when flattened.
It was a good day.
Today was a waste of time. Once the cloud and rain came in it was game over before it started. Had a sup instead.
Still a fluky place to sail but so worth it when it works.

one of the best days with conditions pefect,5.3 and 90l.has to be one of the easiest places to wavesail, just a couple of breakers to get through go wide and your out.not to heavy that it'll break gear(like narrowneck),hadn't wavesailed here for nearly two years, realised how lazy you get sailing flat water using the harness too much,as when on wave and not hooked in man may wrist are aching.
