Hey Guys,

I'm visiting Brisbane for a week and was wondering if there is somewhere near the sunshine coast that one could base oneself to surf if it ain't windy and windsurf if it is? Somewhere like Caloundra or even up Noosa way? Not sure if I will have a car yet and will check the cast to see if it's even worth bringing the gear closer to the time. Visiting family out in Moggil but don't think there will be much in the way of surfing or windsurfing out there.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Caloundra is probably the easiest option as well as being marginally closer to moggil,by about 1/2 hour.compared to noosa

you could also try surfing the wake of the moggil ferry

If you are going to be at Moggil for a while you could pop down to Manly or Wellington Point for a bump and jump session.

Hey guys thanks for all the info. Forecast isn't looking that good for windsurfing so I will leave my gear at home. If it gets really windy I might try rent gear somewhere.
Cheers
