I'm keen. Being new to VP, I'd like to know, Is there enough water at low tide. Saturday low tide is middle of the day. Is it worth going there at all. I use fins on the slightly larger size.
Dag, you can launch at Thomsons Beach, at low tide you will have a long walk to the water, but once out in the water the depth is fine once you get out deep enough, unless you are using formulae fins then I would'nt know. You can B&J or if you want flat water you can sail out to a very long sand bank for a bit of blasting
Hope that helps ![]()
Thanks Vando for that. I think I read that Pierre and Sean sailed at another spot there other then the bank, and maybe not on a low tide, where was that ![]()
VP for me also,
hoping my repair kit turns up today or i'll be on speed gear ![]()
haggar, the spot is to the western end of thomspons. it;s very shallow heading up towards redland bay so they go there. 27cm fin type stuff.
Good weekend to take the speed gear to Burrum mate. It's gonna honk !!
Elliott Heads will be on though. Don't need a desperately low tide there.
Yeah I really enjoyed Elliott Heads just after chrissy.
Would definately go back and camp accross the road.
Not that big a drive. 4 hours from Nth Bne, double lanes all the way to Cooroy.
Central Qld is gonna be going off over the next week.
