Sue & I are driving from Bris calling in at different locations along the coast doing some camping & hopfully some sailboarding I'm into speed sailing as some might know so we would love too catch up & have a sail with any locals.
I'm thinking of taking my 112lt for sure & either a 92lt or my 83lt speed board as I don't want to take gear I don't need & a few sails not sure which of the smaller boards to bring for places like Green Island?
If anyong can help on that please do as you know the conditions up your way this time of year.
Been told too go to & thinking of stopping at Elliot Heads,Seventeen Seventy, Gladstone,Yepoon ????? Mackay????? Townsville then onto Cairns, Yorkeys, Green then head back down home.
We leave Bris on about the 29th June & have 4 weeks for our trip so please PM me for a meet up or a sail I will try to up date where I'm am provided I have internet coverage.
O & can you all arrange some sun pls.
Thanks Glynn & Sue
Hi Glynn
I have sent you a PM. We are heading to Kurrimine all of August, leaving mid July and plan to be back on the Sunny Coast early Sept. Looking forward to any other windsurfers along the way. O and looking for the wind & warmth as well ![]()
Hi Glynn, firstly congrats on the 40knots. That's a cracking result. We had the AWA AGM the other night and a couple of the guys were absolutely raving about Green Island. Might be a good idea to spend more time there than at other spots. I love Elliot Heads and have also heard Bowen is a great spot.
Hi Glynn,
The 83lt with sub 25cm fin would be a great combo for the Green Is speed run just not sure how much use it will get elswhere.
Look for a 1.4-1.6 neap tide and the SE trades should deliver the rest.
Have a great trip !!
Toody, thought I would bring my CA SP 50 & my JP 112lt with a 6.3 7.0 & a 7.7 to cover a wide range of conditions.
Thanks Glynn
At Elliot Heads tonight weathers fine thank god seventeen seventy tom for 3 nights gona be at beach front caravan park
Plenty of wind there today Glynn, did you get to sail with the pilot?
Enjoy the rest of your trip, and don,t forget to post on GPS T.C.
