I'm going to be up at Mooloolaba for the weekend this weekend and it looks like the wind is going to be from the west. Does anywhere work up there in a westerly or should i just leave the gear at home.

I sail of golden beach at Caloundra sometimes in a w-sw. You have to float out a little to catch the wind but after that its plane sailing.

The Caloundra bar works in a westerly and you can launch at Bulcock beach, just be careful of the current if the tide is going out.

Incoming tide with a westerly is very good.
