Hi everyone!

I'm planning on going up north for a week in February and was wondering if anyone could recommend the 'has it all' location?

Basically - a nice appartment at the the beach between Caloundra and Noosa, a windsurfable beach.

I'm thinking of waking up by the wind shaking the palm trees, rigging up on a lawn without driving to a spot and just walk over to the beach and surf.

There must be such a place!!!!

Are you interested in swell/wave riding or just mostly flat water stuff?

hmmmmm ok.....

My favourite wave riding spots along the coast are (heading north up the coast) -

- Neill st. (Just north of caloundra bar). Has nice grassy rigging spot. Good launching spot. Nice break.
- Ann st. (Just north of Neill st.) Has nice riding conditions but the launching spot is more open than Neill st.
- Mooloolaba Spit. Ultimate for big swell riding as it doesnt break, but only good on a NE.
- Mudjimba is decent given right conditions.

I'm sorry but dont really know much about accom as I live around here so have never ever looked! best bet is to choose a place and then look for closest apartments from there.....

also check out this as it has some good info about locations - http://www.windwanderers.com/Locations.html

cheers.

If ya wanted a beach that works both north and south winds I would probably recommend castaways.....

Its a beach just south of sunrise beach (near noosa)....

I've only sailed there once or twice..... Like any open beaches, It can get quite rough when the winds pick up past 15 knots...

I've never ever sailed kawana so cant really comment....
