Hi,
Wondering where people would be heading for wave sailing tomorrow on the sunshine coast, forecast is 20-25knts Northerly tending Northwesterly.
I was thinking Mooloolaba, through not sure how well it would work in a true northerly/northwest breeze?
Castaways would probably be too offshore.
Cheers
Mooloolaba pumps in anything from NW to NE
tomorrows the day for sure. I was trying to get to noosa sunday.
SE swell and N-NW winds tomorrow. lucky lucky.
for cross off dtl/wavesailing
noosa bar
pin cushion/cotton tree
NNW or N cross shore wave sailing
Mudjimba
northerly stumers creek Coolum.
mooloolabah is more bump and jump. the swell doesn't really get into the pocket but is big out back
Cheers Gestalt, will try coton tree. Tried wave sailing there a couple of times without much luck (not enough wind) hopefully forecast holds for tomorrow.
I was also thinking anne st or neil st might be worth a look if it's north.
not sure about neil st. never had it as a left hander there.
ann st gets a left hander on the southern side of the reef. it's one of the old school sunny coast wave spots for a northerly.
Will be doing Noosa River Mouth or Castaways today. Castaways Sunday.![]()
Hi,
I am up in Noosa this weekend (wife's birthday !!). Hoping to get a pass on Sunday arvo for a sail.
Can you point me in the right area / give me some directions?
Cheers.
I was watching the noosa cameras today and can't help but feel a blast from the surf club all the way up to north shore in a NE wind wouldn't be a half bad idea.
Good session at Castaways yesterday. A few of us expect to be there Sunday if it kicks in. Head down the David Lowe Way about 5km south of Sunshine Beach. Quite a good car park on the eastern side with right angle parking and easy beach access for rigs. Can't miss it. Tides will be best late morning.
If I sail the river mouth I tend to head for the north shore to get away from the kites.
