If you are traveling from Brisbane, would take the Eumundi road, not Cooroy or Pomona.
Are you up there already? The handbrake has put a stop to our soggy adventure for tonight but will be there for racing tomorrow.
Apparently it was either one soggy adventure or the other. Sorry Bart, may be a bit lonely at the pub tonight.
PS: how's the wind on the bay? Can't really tell from the charts.
Pomona road is cut but the Tewatin road is all good. Nice 15-20 on the lake this arvo. Pub beer is cold and there is a bus load or hot euro backpackers just turned up.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to secure those backpackers as cheer girls for tomorrow's race.
Had a pretty crap sail at Manly, up and down like a fiddlers elbow with jellies, weed, mud and a serious lack of water.
Nearly made it|||
My wife has been anxious to get away in the caravan for a weekend.
So being smart i suggested we go to Boreen point this weekend.
Thought Di could meet a few of the sailors etc.
I normally load up the car dissappear for a few hours and then return with a smile on my face, I think she was getting suspicious that these people I talk about sailing with did not exist.
We had four days off i had booked ahead and was looking forward to it.
Yesterday was too wet so we decided to go today.
Got to Pomona and found the road was cut.
Could have tried to go back through Eumundi however i think i had already lost the round and am off the holiday planning committee.
Maybe next year
I hear you, had the same problem. Didnt check this thread before i left and headed up early got to the same floods only to be turned around and sent back, so i decided to sail at caloundra, waste of time as it was blowing 10-12 at best and very patchy.
Enjoy the race, I'm heading back to Brissie, due to a hole in my 7.8
and lack of sleep from the wind and rain last night
. Thanks for the beers last night.
PS anyone know a good sail repairer?
