Hmmm, the surf is up and the wind, well is a little fickle at the moment.
It may be back to the Alley for some waves before they leave us again.
OFF TOPIC ALERT>>> BTW justin - I think I have settled on the d300, 8 FPS with hand grip and 51 point AF. And the advantage for telephoto of 1.6x crop. one day I will own a full frame, but that will be for landscape/portrait only (I have heard a lot of landscape people are flocking back to film though)
i'd say as soon as the brisbane airport reading says there is some wind ![]()
www.bom.gov.au/qld/observations/brisbane.shtml
the forecast:
On the Bays - Saturday: W/NW winds 15/20 knots, shifting SW 20/25 knots during the morning
and increasing to 25/30 knots during the afternoon. Seas 1 to 1.5 metres.
Thundery rain clearing during the morning.

will only take the 10.9m and formula board!
forecast from marine services
0-5 knots with the occasional 0-5 knot gust W-SW.

i'm still up for it tomorrow. not sure if i make it as far as bribie on such a forecast, but will do wello
I got planing today at wello
, however it wasn't for very long. Oh well, such a warm sunny day, glad I didn't waste it. Same thing again tomorrow, but more wind I hope.
I live on the north coast of NSW and am starved for a sail. Have never been to Wello, but was thinking of making the trek from here on day off Friday. BoM says SW 25-30. Worth the trip??
