Forecast has some potential.
Now, someone remind me, do I need a run-in or run-out tide ?
I'm reading today as a run-in through the afternoon.
Anyone else going ?

you need a run out tide usually. unles it's very windy, then it doesn't matter as much.

Seaway, where the water goes in and out, is to the south.

Run out will give you an extra 4 knots against a SW - SE.

Ah, well that's decided that then.
Late forecast and the wrong tide means I'm staying home.
Drums it is !!

Wait, wait.

I'd recommend KFC. Short runs, really good for gybing practise.

About 1 minute north from the Train. The train doesn't like a lot of S (anymore) but it is not so bad at KFC. Tide is coming in so it will get better and better through the afternoon.

Just head north from southport. There is a bridge between McDonalds and KFC. Take the first right. Rig up in the park. Quite nice.

I looked at that a few weeks ago and wasn't too impressed. Just not enough water. I think I ended up going back to the Train.
It's blowing a bit down here at present, so I think I'll just go off the beach here at Casurina.
