31 yr old male attacked by a Shark at Fingal, just sth of Tweed Heads.

Always been a bit of a sharky area down there, have seen a few big ones at D-bah and Cudgen Reef over the years.

i go diving there
havnt seen any sharks tho

Windykid I diver was taken there by a great white about 10 years ago. One of those spots you can sit up on the headland and watch the sharks swim under the surfers

Surfed he coast since the mid sixties, Fingal is the only place I have seen them in the water while I've been out there. Good fishing spot as well! Probably that's why the sharks are there in the first place!!

Nah don't be scared there is plenty of surfers for them to have as entree, besides your all crunchy what with tanks, goggles, regs, weights etc

It is a great spot. I went out there last Aus day and had a really good session. It would be a good place for a group to camp and have a long weekend of it.
