probably be windiest at wynnum, but low tide so probably not really pleasant, and i don't think the wind will get up enough?
i'd say take the freestyle kit down to shearwater, and you will definately get a sail. may be a bit out of the way thou? i'm out the door as soon as my lunch is ready ![]()
Sweet thanks guys I'm in central Bris and will head out for a freestyle sesh to wello if it gets up. Someone post when it kits 15 knots :)
if you are heading to shearwater, go down to the lagoon type thing in front of wavebreak island. flaaaaaat water.
U can park at the playground at bayview st / lands end bridge, or oatland esp.
if there are boats there, maybe head back to shearwater or columbus drive area.
will head down in about 30mins
HC, no I didn't go in the end... Looked at a secret spot on the way back from Bris to the Sunshine Coast but bot even enough for freestyle board.
Excuse the pseudonym, we've met before though at wello on that really strong westerly about 6 weeks back. I'm will's mate. Just got back from years living overseas. Have the orange simmers...
Anyway wello should get windy enough some afternoons this week.
aha! yes i remember
there were quite a few sailing at shearwater, a couple I couldn't recognise and thought you might be one of them
will be good to catch up. next time
looks like the GC will have some wind all week like today
Yeah for sure although I'll probably stick to wello as it's an hour closer for me! What size did you get out on today? It was minimal on the sunshine coast...
i was at phillip park beach just with my family was quiet a few teabaggers out and one sailor on a ezzy sail not sure who it was![]()
Hollywell reporting in. Was good, on a 5.9 all afternoon.
Tried the run behind Crab Island. Actually very easy to get to. Unfortunately seems to be some kind of wind buffer effect from the island which is down-wind. Wind was not enough to plane. Weird.
