Just a heads up if anyone is thinking about going for a run don't bother at this stage it's not even close to what the graphs or forecasts are showing

Yep, a lot of work for little result @ kfc today.
The wind was nothing like the seaway graph indicated, possibly due to the rain

Maybe not for Shearwater.
Maybe not for Train on a NE.

I always blend with a second opinion from the wind tree across the road.

I tried to let people know to save them the drive. The forecast looked so promising and i was getting a little excited as Friday and Saturday approached because wind was forecast up to 30 knots but in reality it was more like 8-10 with the odd 14 or 15 knot gust on the Broadwater. Downright pathetic. Thought i was going to get to use my S1 for the first time but still no joy. I'm just about pulling my hair out. Just ask Haircut he knows the feeling

it wasnt bad at shearwater - there were three out - we were all on 7.8 or bigger though - on my 50cm fin so it was pretty light - fast though cos it was flat and the angle of the wind was quite east so could sail along the broadwater - very long runs. Nice

I look at Coastwatch and your on the other one just click on the "graphs" tab above. Whatever they say just subtract a little because it's taken at the Seaway and you'll get some idea
