Has any body found a sail maker who is willing and able to repair a windsurfing sail.We have two sailmakers in town and are not interested, they would rather make a shade sail than attempt one of these strange things.Maybe some of the younger lads down the Whitsundays would be able to do the job.

Hi Jeff, will grab that number off you,but maybe it is better for me to drop the sail off in Bowen that way I have a reason to come down for a sail.I come off roster on wed and have a week off so if it looks like some wind down your way here I come. The sail that needs repair has a damaged sleave which happened while treading the mast in so maybe it is beyond repair,I hope not as it's my most used sail and I keep on getting just a little more use out of it.

COOL, Looks like we might have a blow this weekend, Jamie(my son) comes up to Bowen most weekends kiting so if you drop it of here he can take it back with him if he thinks it is repairable, he should also be here saturday but sunday he is yacht racing in airlie,
It would be excellent to have you here for a sail. I'm living at c/van park on the front beach so if you would like me to book you a unit let me know, that is if you plan on staying

Hi Jeff, are you working wed, thurs or fri as the wind is lookin ok for then?Don't worry about booking any thing as I will probably just bring a tent down and get a site in the caravan park, thats if they have them.I want to try to be back by Sunday cause the family are heading off to Brizzy for team sailing.

Heaps of tent sites here, wont need to book, wednesday looks good but it will probably fade thurs and fri then pick up friday arve to blowin its butt off by sat.
I think Gav and I can get off wed off but the ideal time will be from 7.30 onwards while the tide is up, the wind picks up pretty early here, . How long do you plan on staying, I think wed and sat will be the best of the wind at this stage.

There used to be a HOOD Sails loft in South Townsville and a guy there called Michael Hunt. I used to get all my sails fixed there.

Mr Hunt may have been ok with old dacron sails but he has been left behind with tecnology.Take a modern sail into him now and after much head scratching and mumbling it's deemed too hard to repair. It's better to get someone who want's the work, lot's of young guys down in Arlie who know their stuff.
