From my sailing diary 2008-09.
Sun 31 Aug 2008 15+ kts NNE at the Train (7.5 metre)
Sat 13 Sept 2008 15+ kts NNE at the Train (7.5 metre)
Sun 14 Sept 2008 15+ kts NNE at the Train (7.5 metre)
Sat 20 Sept 2008 15+ kts (Dir?) at the Train (7.5 metre)
Sun 28 Sept 2008 15+ kts NE at Queen's Beach (6.5 metre)
Ive keeped gps records since 2005 which by the way was the best season we had in the last 4 years. The last couple of years up here in Brizzy last 2 weeks in Sep and then oct were the best for seabreeses but this year who knows been a early start but now nothing well was abit today but missed it
.
Google Docs will let you page scrape the BOM site. I'm sure I've done for historical information too, but can't find the spreadsheet. Maybe it was in Excel (so lost)
You can do funky stuff like this, i might make another historical one if i get too nerdy and bored:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OX49ddwNcWNxw5E-l7mOmq1JwcZ5gW9UgjVTHGrdWMI/edit?hl=en&hl=en
(tabs at the bottom)
...and then by looking at history, we can predict the future
(haircut is probably right)
If anyone is at all interested it drives from this single, simple formula, and variations of:
=ImportHtml("www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ65119/IDQ65119.94590.shtml", "table", 3)
Got to agree with Vando on this one.
Vando BTW aren't the last 2 weeks of Sep and early October when some of us crazy folks make a pilgramage down to cold waters of Sandy Point.

you people keep records of wind and sail sizes
![]()
here i am thinking i was quite passionate about sailing, but obviously not enough
Actually wind, seastate, time, tide, board, fin, sail, sail settings, boom height, general conditions, and maintenance issues.
Then again If I sailed as much as some of you guys seems to I might not be so completist about it.
