Hi Guys
I'm still new in Brisbane and have only sailed Wynnum twice, was thinking of venturing to the Northern beaches tomorrow, Scarborough, Redcliffe, Woody Point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated considering the predicted SSE and midday low tide.
Any guys heading out that way for a daytime sail?
Many thanks.
Queens beach should be good, don't really see many people sailing woodies these days. Sandgate could be fun at high tide.
as lee said queens beach, and scotts point margate(opposite the takeaway shop)
but most sail at queens.
tide is not a problem out here at redcliffe, no long walks or mud
Thanks guys, there don't seem to be much wind around today but will certainly head out Queens' way next time.
there's definitely wind out here, hopefully it stays around, forecast said dropping below 26knts late morning( hope it wrong)
I'll head down soon hopefully![]()
Hope to see you down there Derek, I hope to get away from work on time so I miss the bloody traffic on the gateway.
there were two guys out on the southern side of the Alley just now, one looked underpowered a little, the other was charging out back.

Yeah bud managed to get out with two others, got on the water around 2.30 for an hour or so. Pretty gusty but fun.
