Well after a pretty dismal looking long term forecast the weekend is looking better all the time with 15knt SE predicted for both days. So we are go for another event, another expression session, this time on the Sunshine Coast. Given early indications it could be worth hitting Neil St, but will make the final call for that in a couple of days.
Also keep the weekend of the 28/29 March free, We will be running a two day event at Currumbin. With a number of wave sailors from down south showing interest in attending, this one is shaping up to be a cracker.
Remember if you are a member, or have full competition third party insurance (i.e. not a social member only) through any other AWA affiliated club it is only $10 to enter, If not it is $20 to cover entry and third party insurance for the event.
A reminder of the classes of membership:
Single - $60
Couples - $110
Family (3 or more members) - $150
Youth <18yrs - $45
Social member - $35 - not entitled to voting rights, has public liability insurance for general sailing, not covered for competitive events.
If you want to join up ahead of time you can download a copy of the membership form from www.mediafire.com/file/yiadttadm1m/MEMBERSHIP FORM 2008.pdf and email it through to me at jamie_miller@netspace.net.au and direct deposit the fee.

oh bummer, I have beach volleyball finals this saturday. ![]()
have fun guys, hope you get some good conditions!
We were thinking of that Gary, and a second one in October when the NSW guys head up to Woolgoolga.
Maybe we should check where Finno and Oli's allegiances lie aye ;)
Given the lack of a good forecast for this weekend we have decided to postpone this event one week. So we at this stage we will be on for the 28th.
So hows the luck, two weekends in a row we miss it totally and it blows during the week.
Will make the call on what to do with this on Friday.
Unfortunately with the forecast as poor as it is we have decided against running the event over the weekend and as it is getting on for March now we will just stick with the scheduled March event.
It seems Feb on the Sunny Coast was just not meant to be.
Keep your eye out for more details about the big event on the last weekend of March. Should be a cracker.
