The Season Finale is here.
SEQ's final event for the season will be on the Sunny Coast on Sunday the 17th of May.
As always we will aim for a fun social day with a BBQ and as much sailing as possible. At this stage we will keep the final location open, dependant on conditions. Will make a final call in the days preceding the event.
We will also use the opportunity to run an AGM and decide on the direction for next years season. And for those that haven't got one yet I will have member t-shirts from this year available for collection. We also have a heap of Currumbin Classic T-shirts to sell for only $10 each for anyone that wants one.
will try and make it!
if it's blowin S or SW, mudjimba would be a sweet place for it... get's pretty much down the line if the banks are working as they should...
keep the updates coming.

Stil early days, but it's starting to look good for Sunday getting up to 20knts from the SE late in the day.
Happy to take suggestions from the local guys on where would be best in the given conditions.
I reckon Neil St is the go if its SE. can tack up to moffats or just sail out the front on the reef.
I have scheduled in several beers for Saturday night - so may be a little rugged on Sunday :)
Peace
theres electric barbeques a bit further up, where the flags are, only like 1-200m away. but being electric they do kinda suck.
Meet at Neil St on Sunday.
Don't forget this event will include the club AGM, so if you want to have some input in the direction of the club for the 09/10 season come along. If you absolutely can't make it along but would still like a say email your thoughts to info@seqwavesailing.com.au.
We will also be taking memberships for the 09/10 season, if you are a current member it is valid until the end of June.

Guys, due to the AGM this IS still going ahead.
If we are not at Neil Street we may have moved to the Caloundra Bar area (seems to be one of the few places with a wave this morning)
We will put up a sign if we have moved.
All,
It would seem many things transpired to make this a non event. Least of all a lack of wind, along with the Mal club taking over Neill St. I hung around for most of the day but am not sure that I managed to catch everyone else who may have been in the area.
With this in mind I will be in contact with all members via email over the next few days to pose some questions about the season next year. Keep your eye out for an email.
Also we now have a domain name www.seqwaveailing.com.au at this stage there is only a place holder page in place, but a full site should be up in the not too distant future.

Hi Jamie, bad news re the event on the 17th, good news re the holding page. Too bad it wasn't this weekend, if the predictions hold out it would be an exciting event.
