Looks like I have 4 days next week at Rainbow Beach, has anyone had any experience sailing out of the mouth of Inskip as it looks like it will be SE, or do you sail straight off the beach. Also what is the water quality like up there?

Don't let the shark stories deter you although that current that runs through there is mighty strong on an out going tide. Make sure you haven't been baiting up any hooks with pilchards beforehand either. It's lovely and flat where the barges pull-in.

Remember to buy your lottery ticket but leave it with a friend or relative.
Not the same friend you take as a decoy.

Sailed there and around that area back in the late 80's & 90's. wind howls through there in the SE and around towards bullock point is great flat water areas but the tide flow is strong and gets very choppy plus some unexpected shallow areas!!!!

As for sharks – no shortage of them there not uncommon for them to swim up to the waters edge there so don't let the kids or family pets swim there!!!!

Tin Can Bay might be better or Carlo Point.

Have fun!!!

Spring tides next week so watch out for the current.
