The old dog still has a few tricks hey! great work, considering how little time he has had on a long board lately this is pretty amazing.

Queensland windsurfing is on fire!

Well done all the Qld Raceboard Crew: Leo, Brendan, Simon, Julie, Jamie, Tony, Cam and John.

Did every one get back through the floods OK?

When I passed through the Grafton to Balina area just after 5.00pm on Monday afternoon, the flood waters were lapping the side of the road in an area just accross the bridge over the Clarence River on Chatsworth island. Apart from the high wind, rain and fallen trees on the side of the road, the trip was reasonably uneventfull and I arrived back in Brisbane at 8.00pm.

When and where is the next raceboard course racing in Brisbane?

Well done Leo and all those that went down. Was a fantastic regatta and credit must go to Brett Morris and Glenn Morrell for the organisation.

Lots of Raceboards means lots of close racing and all conditions were tested (even the impromtu lightwind scramble to get back to shore to change sails was testing!)

I was amazed at how James and a few of the other guys got the older type rigs around the courses so quickly. Learnt heaps watching.

A pity it turned into a bit of a mission to get back. Had to criss-cross between the New England and the Pacific to make it back home. Only to find our business in pretty bad disrepair.

Looking forward to the next regatta now.

Congratulations guys fantastic result. Especially to Leo & Brendan.
Hopefully next year the queenslanders can take the full podium, if Fyfe stops crashing into people

Brendan hope the business recovers quickly.

I'm thinking that Brendan in particular has been on the steepest learning curve for this type of racing- hardly even knew what a raceboard even was until a couple of months ago, then lines up and takes out 3rd at Nationals level. Having sailed against Brendan a few times, he is only going to get better from here on. Particularly with the encouragement of having done so well at such a high level. Well done to all the QLD sailors and particularly Leo for such an outstanding result- a National Title certainly looks good on the CV. Could be a great opportunity to look at some sort of regular race program to really develop this part of the sport locally. RQ, Bayside, LCSC, PPSC?

hey brendan sorry to read about your business mate.

that's an insane result at the nationals. congrats. to be fighting it out with leo puts you in another class.

congrats also to leo and others as well, especially to leo for winning. class effort.

maybe next year leo can convince steve to step back on a raceboard and you guys can gang up on the other states.

Thanks very much fellas. Our business has re-openned after a week of repairs and is surprisingly busy. I very much appreciate the well wishes and positive comments.

As for the nationals, our President Farley put the hard word on the Queenslanders to do well.

Just arrived back. Awesome result from Leo and Brendan, also Simon to stay in the top ten despite some pretty much worst-case scenarios with weather vs sail choice. Actually, I think pretty much everybody pulled out some heroic efforts just to record a finish in some races.

Had one great day of racing in the FW event, one day cancelled due to not enough wind, two days cancelled due to too much. Again a QLD-er took out the event :)

On Behalf of the Organisers of the DownUnderPro, congrats to the whole QLD contingent.
Excelled in the results department and bought a really positive attitude to the event to boot....Looking forward to next year already.
Maybe a State challenge is required in the future huh?
