Queensland Raceboard Championship 2013
4th and 5th of May
at Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club.
sponsored by BOARD CRAZY.
oh that's great, had a good sail at the lake today, bit up and down with the rain but had some great rides. will have to get out on the long board next weekend for a bit of practice.
Well done Tony and Simon. I'll be there.
Hopefully we will get some racing in beforehand with BSC and RQYS.
I was thinking, should there be a prize for first 'retro' board? This may encourage some more punters.
After yesterday's effort at RQYS I'll need every little bit help I can get. I found yesterday's conditions very challenging. I need more time on the water.

When is the next race day?
John, next Saturday is the final RQ race day of the season. Yep, yesterday was pretty full-on. I was alternating between getting air - which is pretty alarming on a giant chunk of foam like the RS D2 - and burying the nose back to the centre-case. Coulda done with even just a *little* bit of rocker...
Racing at LCSC will continue every sunday until the 14th of April.
One race at 11am and one race at 1.30 pm.
Cheers guys, some great racing on Saturday. Yes, it was pretty full-on in the chop.
I went home on Saturday and crashed and have just woken up.
I think this weekend is race 47 and 48 the last two for summer series. The techno class still has sail Brisbane then the regatta at lcsc when the raceboard states is on then youth week in July then Qld states at yeppoon in august then back to club racing in September. Add in the frostbite series at rq and they probably have another 40 races before next season.
No wonder the youth boys & girls are getting so good! Got to watch out for Jacob nowadays too. I noticed some of the girls even chose 7.8s on Saturday
!
(don't forget PPSC in winter too, hopefully we can get a few more punters there this winter)
This has the potential to be a great event- hope there will be lots of people making the effort to get involved.
Is anyone sailing at paradise point this weekend? I need a practice for the championships after a few weeks away.
Tony, I will probably head over to RQYS for a sail on Saturday morning... Will try and get there around 10.30am if you're interested.
I will probably be there this w/e- if anyone wants to try an old F2 lightning with their own rig- pm me before sunday- I have a spare board available- look pretty rough but still goes OK. Not nearly as fast as these new phantom 380's like the one davecta has but very few things are as fast- the way he sails that thing. Still fun to race against though.
