Had 3 weeks in Maui where I sailed all but 3 days out of 3 weeks on a 5.0 and didn't break the nose of my board nor any ribs. ( acknoeldgements to Scotty and Mickey & Muz respectively). Been back for a month now and simply haven't been enthusiased to get out there. Where are the 30 knot breezes, the euro babes in their G strings greeting you as you walk onto the beach, Goya wandering through your lodgings asking to borrow your mast base, and Matty Pritchard bringing you down new gear to test every 2nd day ?
The truth is Maui sucks cause, when you live on the east coast of Oz, you understand that we just don't get enough consistent wind.
Scotty F - have been on the tea bag 4 times since I've been back - the dark side is calling you............
whats keeping you here?
If it wasn't for me being too lazy to transfer my uni degree (almost graduated) I would have moved long ago. Not to maui, but probably west coast at least.

I could, maybe get a job in Oahu, but things'd be even worse. Interestingly:

Maui,
, ahhh.
It sucks when one gets spoilt, then u know what u been missing out on, and what you're loosing out on when you leave....
I know that feeling all too well.... all too well...

That's like saying I might come across to burbon one day. It just won't happen.
Have had a couple of good runs of late with some unseasonal north easters but I must admit it isn't quite the same without a facing wave. The bay chop is so much harder to line up and get height. I will be pretty keen to come up the coast and get into some waves this year.
Scotty don't forget you were drinking captain morgan so nothing is out of the question except maybe one thing - my giving up sailing in the blue waters of Noosa to come to sail in Manly.
Look forward to seeing you up here when its next on.
