Going for a weekend in early September. I'll be on river near Munna Point which will be good for a little blast off the beach, but looks like you could sail out to Tea Tree bay on a NE'r? Looks like the perfect angle from the carpark there.
I've seen the seaway thing. Too shallow, too many kites?
yeah - sooo many kites there. if you were going to sail it id jump on the barge and hit it from the northern side of the river (if you have a forby). You can sail out to tea tree i think, but its just ocean sailing really. try it out and let us know :)
yeah heaps of kites and lots of shallow spots in the river mouth.
I would head south side to Castaways in a NE.
on true NE u can sail out into the bay EP. is still good fun, but only tiny space in mouth now. i don't know why kites even bother going there and it's just as bad as the currumbin puddle. got to be pretty desperate to kite in the mouth. caloundra not much better either
i haven't been to maroochy for a few years. do you guys know if that is any better these days?
I reckon if your going there Panda and it's blowing go to Catharaba it's only about 20-30 min drive, heaps of room. The runs are long enough to get leg cramp.
