thankfully we dont get many true easterlies but if its 25knts plus....and it needs to be to fill in you can sail from the train........2 or 3 times a year usually comes with rain and low pressure off the coast bottom clockwise wind from the low befor it moves away, when the low drops down the coast if it hits a high coming up the coast it can cause some strong easterlies blah, blah,blah
Manly can work in an easterly but it's a pissweak wind so you need about 3 to 5 knots more than your usual minimum. Its not a bad run. Up to Wynnum, back to Lota, all within 200m from shore.
