What would be the best set for me to start with?
I am thinking about new jp explorer or funster ?
I am 85 kg should i go 160 or 145 board .
What s your opinions regards those boards ,have you got any other recommendations?
What would be the best sail size for me up there any brands i should consider ( models ,sizes)
Thanks

Mate good on you for getting into the sport. There is allot to learn about gear and I think the best idea is to talk to an expert. Go to board crazy in brissie and get the expert advice it could save you heaps of $ in the long run and make the learning curve easier. See you out there!

The bigger the better, I would go the 160lt board and a 5.5m2 - 7m2 sail. Get some lessons from a local club or as they say above from Board Crazy. Lake Cootharaba has lessons most Sundays as well and so does Sandgate as well I think.

Dont be to scared to push your limits, the more you push the better you will get in a shorter time. Also dont let the wind scare you to much either, if its stronger winds find a spot you can sail in calmer waters, the more wind you can handle the better you will get to know you and your boards limits.

Good Luck and happy sailing.
