Hi all,
I am new to windsurfing dont even have my own rigg. I want to get a really cheap rig with starter board with a fairly light carbon mast or other light mast that will only cost up to about 250. Just something second hand. My dad found a starter sail that had fallen off a trailer down the highway that is fine so all i really need is every thing but the sail. If any one could help me out with a deal or a website with what im after please any help will be appreciated..

I may be able to help out.
i run the WindWanderers Social Windsurfing club and the club has a gear library.
at this stage i can't help with a board but i can set you up with a full rig and once you are there a slalom board. the library works like any other library, you borrow the gear and return it when finished or when you want to borrow something different. the idea of the library is to help newcomers out for the first month or so until they are ready to buy something and therefore avoid outgrowing a board too quickly and wasting money in the early stages.
p.s. a board will hopefully be available in about 4 weeks time.
we also have a starboard kids rig (2.5m) that starboard australia donated to us.
the only condition is that you join the club ($40) as the library is only accessible to club members. i would also strongly suggest that you go to your local windsurfing school and get a lesson. you will also be able to get some tips at the windwanderers meets every 5 weeks or so.

- Neil Pryde X3 (30% carbon), 460cm
- Powerex 30% carbon, 430cm
All just sitting in my garage. Both have one season of use. Both are Standard Diameter (SDM). Shall we say $150 each, about half what I paid for them?
Have a look at your sail and advise on the values for 'Luff' and 'Boom'. And what make/model is it? This will tell you what length mast and boom you need. We'll start with that.
I also have an unused/spare Chinook slalom boom. Probably even got enough spare stuff for extension mast foot etc. etc., or almost.

the old fell off a trailor eh......................Mate if your down the coast you can have a seat harness,harness lines and extension but let me know if your coming.
