Hi, what's the best places to sail in NW or SW winds in Qld?
I have spied on Google a potential nice speed run on the Nth Shore of Maroochy river for a flat water in SW.
Mudjimba can work in SW for waves, looks like possible of the Estern points of Caloundra may work in SW?
Anyothers...don't see any hope in NW although many guys kite Rainbow beach in NW.

Kirra Beach is pretty good in a NW.
Elliott Hds is also very good in NW, but you don't really get them there until spring and you need high tide.
Lots of good northerly sailing at Hervey Bay too, though I've not really sailed there myself. The crew from tehre used to go to Elliott hds on big southerlies, but stayed home on northerlies.
