I am going camping on Moreton Island (west side) next week. Anyone know if its safe to go windsurfing (i still fall in a bit) ?

Hey Clive, as the 29th person to read your post i feel a reply is due so here ya go,

i would take the fishin rod and leave the sailing gear at home, but maybe i am just soft.

BTW, don't google "moreton island sharks"

norwesters on the western side......... go windsurfing mate!!!!!!

unless you get westerlies the only wind you'll get is bullets over the hill. Strong tidal current . Not ideal (unless you have a rescue boat) or at least a big board.

Given they are forecasting noreasters (and the sharks) it looks like I will have to go fishing and drink beer, oh well.....
