I've noticed a lot of depressed sailors down an Manly lately and I can only put this down to a general feeling of "ungratefulness"

To try and remedie this situation I suggest the following;

1. Place blow up dolls on the rock wall
2. "Can do" Neuman dumping thousands of tonnes of white sand in rose bay
3. More jacked up 4x4's pickups should drive out to the point
4. All sail sizes should be changed in the factory to start with a 4

This depression is a curse and needs to be stamped out.

nar thats normal. there is a certain breed of sailor that will always show up with cars overloaded with gear, inevitably they also have anemometers and spend most of their day fondling it rather than sailing. It's a plague, but at least it means its not too busy on the water :)

oh btw, jetstar have a sale on at the moment you can fly bris to honolulu for $377 each way, but its like $920 after fees and taxes thou. If you fly from syd, its $860 return after fees and taxes. At the current exchange rate, that could be a pretty cheap maui ws'ing holiday. Was considering going actually, but its a little short notice, might plan WA trip for summer instead.

*edit* I just checked different dates, you can grab return trip to maui, for $680 return all taxes and fees included (from syd). Not bad.

Yeah I think u have to go via syd and LA, hence its a bit more $$$ from bris. I'm seriously considering going.. but considering the timing (only free time I have is late nov), I think it would be cheaper + better wind + waves to go to WA instead.

anemometers and SEQLD are a bad mix. if everyone waited for their meter to read 15knots or more, people would hardly ever sail

Nothing a honking northeaster wouldn't cure. I was out fishing this morning and we really do have a great playground on our doorstep. Can't wait for some warmer weather to bring on those full sea breezes. Roll on summer.

Ritchie, im worried about Scot, I think he might need an intervention. He just cant bring himself to rig his gear anymore!

Great sail yesterday, and big thanks to Simon for lending a sail to the the guy who forgot to bring one with him (me!)

Yes , Maui has ruined his inspiration for local windsurfing.... Excuses include, "ooh its too cold" or "ooh it's not windy enough" or " ooh there's no bikini girls" or "ooh theres no sandy beach, I might stub my toe". We may have to soak him in tuna oil and throw him in near Lota Creek......[}:)]..

It's called Sailboarding for a reason - in most cases you need a sail to do it

I'm also a bit worried about your camel fetish too.......
(is it possible this is all being caused by your temperature controlled underpants ???)
