Where is the best pace to get relatively flat water for sailing at Manly on a low tide?

Thanks
Shane

Also, is there any difference between Brisbane Bar tide time and Manly?

tide is about 15 minutes behind I reckon. The point out past the coast guard is okay in all but very low tide. you can still get out but you'll have to trudge through a bit of mud.

Hi Shane,

True flat water at manly does not really exist but it gets very flat over the sand bar and half way into waterloo bay in a SE on about half tide or less. In a northerley the water flattens out in front of RQ and down to kite beach / lota - again on a half tide or so.

Needless to say check the water depth.

The guys have clocked very decent speeds in both of these areas 35kts plus.

Thanks, I'm going to try to start going mid week afterwork to try to improve my sailing but can't always get the tide right. I like the flat water at this stage so I will probably stick to the steps around the end of the Trafalgar Rd. I'm coming from the city so Wello is a bit far.

Shane
