i don't know what to make of the forecast. BOM was wrong today.
tomorrow they're going for a westerly....... hmmm, swell size is suitable for my skills but what is the wind doing.
Depends what time that change comes through.
To me the front looks a long way off still but they are moving through very fast at the moment so we shall see.![]()
well i'm keen to hit kirra but will make my call in the morning.
where were you going to go haircut? Mills St?
train had some wind today, not strong but about 15knots-ish or so for a while. looks like cooly end had some too.
Last time i looked, just north of the desal plant looked to have a nice gutter. Somewhere between Gibson street and where we park at north kirra surf club? or maybe even go down to pizza hut and launch from there.

Warm weather, good winds for this time of year, pass-out from family.
Conditions are looking good. Hurrah!

Briefly considered sailing in jeans or naked. ![]()
Or, a quick trip to Kirra Surf down the road might have solved your fashion crisis.

Marginal + In the surf = hmmmm.
Got a couple of good runs though, for me was nice to be out of the house. It's 12 and raining in Adelaide right now (I commute each week BTW).
Just when I decided to do a longer run out past Greenmount the wind suddenly turned off. Long swim back in before carrying gear about 2 light years up the beach.
Kiting weather, as it usually is in the GC surf. ![]()
Yes. A few good runs, I thought angle was better at the surf club, then somebody hit the off switch and I was swimming with the fishes. ![]()
So, I've been to the northern beaches in Summer, namely Narrowneck, and it was also always very marginal. Just bad luck, or was Mal right about the conditions on Gold Coast beaches being more favourable for kites? I mostly flatwater anyway, is closer and I have limited pass-out time.
Yes, sadly there is lots of 12kt wind, though last spring was a notable exception.
You must admit that the water is clear and beautiful to swim in though.
was good in morning, and then good again in arvo when davecta turned the fan back on when he went out, then he turned it off again when he finished
