Hi folks
I'm new to the forum and sunny qld and hoping for my first sail in Aus today. Thinking somwhere in the Bay, Wynnum, Manly, Redcliff.
Where about is good in the predicted nnwesterley and where are other sailors heading?
Much appreciated.

Wellington Point is the allround spot to go works well in any wind direction low tides a bad walk through mud only on the western waterloo bay side out the front not to far to walk.
Where are you from?

Hey! thanks for all the quick feedback.
I think I'll head down to Manly, Wynnum and Wellington Point direction and see how the day progress - it's all in the same kind of vicinity.
BOM indicates quite a bit of wind for Moreton Bay area but the web cameras are not showing any movement yet. One can only hope...
btw. I'm South African but we moved over from Ireland after living there for well over a decade.
Hope to see ya'all on the water at some stage.

Hey Bart,

Water starting does not count as freestyle.

Go straight to Queen's Beach, Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula for clean water and clean wind. Absolutely rocks in a NNE. Bump and Jump heaven.

Great Arvo! 100litres and a 5.7 excellent combo. This freestyle might be a bit harder than I first thought. Step one is to find a boom that doesn't slip down the mast!

Have to disagree there has been a lot of seasons (maybe not the past few) that we have great northerlies .

Water seems pretty cool still which is a great sign for better sea breezes

Not sure if you noticed but at one point, the Sun was setting on one tack and then there was a full moon on the other. Pretty cool.
