It's a toss up between my Formula and isonic 110. It's a very close contest, but I'd pick the iS110.
Reason:
Put an 8.6 on it and big fin and it's going in 10-12kts, bit boring but hey it's sailing. Put a 6.2 on it and u can survive 25+ It's fast, gybes nice, floaty enough is the wind stops, small to transport and store, not tide dependent.
The other boards:
Wave board - wouldn't be windy enough regularly to use it. Plus no waves in bay where I sail. High wind slalom- not windy enough regularly to use it. Raceboard - great wind range and 'go anywhere', but too big for an everyday board.
Arh ok....so this question isn't new. I read your thread. It's all tassie guys blessed with frequent strong wind, so your favorite boards are 80-90 liter waves. They wouldn't float us fat QLDers most days in our light winds. The water may be warm up here but the wind doesn't blow everyday.
Let's see what the QLD ''one board' is, which no doubt will be different to the tassie one.
Mine was a JP Xcite 110L, as I could use it in all conditions. But just brought a JP Slalom 68 cm 112L board and am getting frustrated no wind to try it out. Hopefully it'll be my "go to" board!!!

Vando, I thought for sure you'd say your iS110. I was close. Yeah I guess if we can include boards we don't already own then I too would go for the iS107.
101 FSW and 6.2 sail does 15 through to 22 knots which is great for the QLD NE's
In the caravan i can only take one board plus SUP as a rule. Same sail on the SUP if it's lighter. Gives a great coverage. Last year i had a 92 ltr which worked well but was a tad small
Fanatic Hawk 110L for sure , (and 3 fins; 40 & 35 BP R-type & 32 BP Freeride).
Why? Great blasting board, Fast on the straights , easy on the gybes , with bump & jump thrown in, huge range w. different fins and sail range 5.0 to 8.0.
I went down this path 4-5 years ago and designed my perfect one board only for me with peter nitschke. I was getting rid of my formula board and wanted something all round to replace it. I took 3 proto designs but ended with a 125lt freestyle wave board i use from 12-35 kn with sails from 4.7-6.4 and the 5.8 is my most used. If this board ever sees an end I'll have another built.
Go RSX! Fantastic 3 Frostbite races yesterday in 4 knots. Congratulations to Harry and Lara for cool wins, and to Robert, who will very soon be showing us all how to do it, now that he's upgraded to the 9.5 rig.
I won't even try to justify my choice, after 30years of windsurfing. You'll have to try it yourself, with an open mind.
At the moment i am just sailing the sup, but when i do upgrade later this year i have been thinking the same and what size/style board (and sails) will do me. At 76kgs i am thinking around a 110L to 120L board either a freeride or slalom would do with maybe 3 sails.
Go for one of the new free move boards. Wide with thin rails. Fantastic to gybe and on the plane super quick. 110 litres would be heaps, I can up haul mine at 88kg.
