So I tried it out, and turned out to be very very surprised.
This was my first run out, haven't sailed in fresh water for ages and was pretty awesome. So I was alone and it felt a bit weird and freaky all so quite etc.
When I first got there the wind was a bit... bitchy is about the best way to put it. As if it was purposefully teasing you in an unpredictable way. After a few runs it got strong and super consistent... was on my 5.7 and fully powered almost all the time, got a bit tired and left early. Here is a clip of my first run when the wind was lighter. It turned out to be an epic day.
Maybe I was lucky dno...
Logan Inlet...
When I first got there I was at the first/second entrance on the bottom west side of the dam, by the dam wall.. A guy said I shouldn't be there and said I should go over further up to logan Inlet
I don't really know, was my first time and it was from the west.
My bet is on a decent wind from the west....
But if I lived closer to wello, I'd probably go there instead?
If it's a long drive for you, I wouldn't go... mostly because I don't want a buch of windsurfers mad at me if it turns out to be crap! lol
But I'll def try it out some more and see if its good all the time in a westerly and check out other directions too. :)
Would be a good spot for those who live out west and don't want to travel far to the coast
