Hey Haggar,
for example Gold Coast:
www.windfinder.com/windstatistics/gold_coast_seaway?utm_source=www.windfinder.com&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=redirect
It is the 'Wind Statistic' tab which you have to click on.
You can pull the data off of the www.bom.gov.au site. Just look around a bit.
You can "suck" the data off of BOM via Google Docs into spreadsheets and such, Microsoft Excel too, including live data.
If you can't figure it out (or don't have fun figuring it out) PM/bug me and I'll show you how.
Here's one I prepared a while back, just raw data.http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pbEsK7S2bJ8WVMEN9Cr8qKg
