Hey all, I have been helping a couple of guys that are new to the sport, one has purchased a BIC Dufour Wing (Really nice to sail I found out), and the other is after some gear. They got the board cheap ($25) so please dont say they should go get new gear as they are just trying out before committing big $$$.

I have lined up a board for the second guy but after some help sourcing a 1 or 2 piece mast (SDM), clamp on boom and a couple of older new shape sails of around 4, 5 and 6m2 sizes.

They dont really have access to a lot of $$$ so anything that is usable would be great.

Cheers

I have a pro limit boom you can have. Think I might have an old 5.4 search that has more stickers on it than monofilm but it works. Will have a look in the shed tonight

Hi and thanks everyone.

with everyone's help I should be able to get a couple of people into the sport really easy. I love to help and teach and find I get more enjoyment and satisfaction out of helping people than sailing myself I think.

I dont know much about the sport, but love to learn. I have been sailing on boards almost as old as I am. I am a bit of a history / vintage buff and love anything retro.

I know learning on the old stuff is not easy, but for beginners to the sport sometimes that's all they can afford to get them going, it then takes them far enough to go yep I want to take it further and finally purchase new/er gear.

Im still not there, I am having enough fun on my old Bic Metal Rock to keep me going for awhile.

Again thanks everyone.

Hi everyone, thanks for your help in getting my mate on the water. He is amazed at the support and gear has received and can't wait to try it out this weekend. Thanks to evilC, lee1972, and gregwed without guys like you this sport would have no new guys/girls starting up.

Thanks again.

Cheers deejay8204
