HAWKS NEST EVENT JAN-FEB 2012

I am chasing some information i.e. dates, NOR for Raceboards, RSX and BIC Techno 293 class for the HAWKS NEST EVENT JAN-FEB 2012.
There is information about Formula on the web, but I have not been able to find anything about Raceboards, RSX and BIC Techno 293 class.

RSX Nationals are at the same time same place i havent seen an NOR yet but few us are planning on going down to the event. I'm guessing technos will be there as well

NOTICE OF RACE

2012 Australian RSX Championship
And BIC Techno Friendship regatta

Australian Windsurfing Assoc (AWA) the organising authority is pleased to host the 2012
RSX Australia Championship from Jan 27th to 29th. This is part of the Downunder Pro ¨C 2012.
1 Rules
This is a Yachting Australia sanctioned event.
1.1 This regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Prescriptions and
Safety Regulations of the YA, except as any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions.
2 Advertising
2.1 Competitors may be required to carry advertising for event sponsors.
3 Eligibility
3.1 Australian competitors shall be members of the National Class Association. Class
membership can be completed on site. Membership is $50.
4 Fees
4.1 The entry fee is $60AUD cash. Entry forms will be at registration.
5 Events©\Classes
5.1 Divisions ©\ Men, Women and Youth and the BIC Techno
5.2 There will be a maximum of 9 races over 3 days
5.3 A minimum of 3 races is required for a valid championship
6 Schedule
Friday 27th
0900©\1100hrs Registration
1100hrs Briefing
1200hrs Racing
Sunday 28th
1100hrs Racing
Monday 29th
1100hrs Racing
1530hrs Last start
1700hrs Prize giving
7. Venue
7.1 Jimmy s Beach, Port Stephans.

8. Measurement
8.1 Each helmsperson shall be responsible for ensuring that their boat and equipment
comply with the Class rules and the YA safety regulations. The Committee reserve the right
to inspect any boat at any time during the Regatta. Failure to comply shall result in
disqualification.
9. Sailing Instructions
9.1. Sailing Instructions will be issued to each competitor upon completion of registration,
and displayed in the official notice board.
10 Courses
10.1 The courses will be windward leeward or as described in the Sailing Intructions.
10.2 The length of the courses will be adapted according to wind strength in order to have a
race duration of about 30 ©\ 35 minutes
10.3 "Gates" may be used in place of single leeward marks.
11 Scoring
11.1 The scoring will be Low Points Scoring System in accordance with RRS A4.
11.2 Each event shall be scored separately.
11.3 A board¡¯s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score(s)
according to RRS B8.2.
12 Buoyancy
12.1 If personal buoyancy is prescribed every competitor and support boat crewmember
shall wear, above the waist, a jacket harness or vest with a minimum buoyancy of 4kg
uninflated in fresh water. The buoyancy shall be tested with a ferrous metal weight of 4kg,
which shall remain supported for a minimum of 5 minutes.
13 Prizes
13.1 Trophies will be awarded to the first placegetters of each properly formed division.
14 Disclaimer of liability
14.1Competitors take part in all races at their own risk. The LOA and International RS:X Class
Association or any of their officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or
representatives are not responsible, under any circumstances, for any damage, loss or injury
either ashore or on the water either to persons or equipment, which may result.
14.2 Participation in this event, supporting events and in each race in them is at the sole
discretion of the sailor and at his/her own risk. Notice is drawn to RRS4.
15 Insurance
15.1 Competitors shall possess valid third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of
10 million AUD.
15.2 Coach and support boat drivers shall also have a valid third party liability insurance
with a minimum cover of 10 million AUD.
15.3 Evidence of insurance cover is required to be provided at registration.
16. Television and media
16.1 In registering for the event, competitors automatically grant to the LOA and the
International RS:X Class Association the right in perpetuity to make, use and show from time
to time at their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed
television and other reproductions of them, taken during the period of the event, for the
said Championship as defined in the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions in which he/she
participates without compensation.
