At least for the Cold Ghost. Certainly more sandbanks than the previous photos.

Especially this one:

Gets worse by the day actually.

Looks like would be good in NE'r. Noticed a few kites there of late. Gets crazy crowded with boats some days but they are all parked downwind of that bank.

High tide you can go all the way across with a nice little lagoon effect. Next high tide, NE I'm going there, just to break monotony of the train.

Reminds me ... this is a bit odd.
... stuff I said
Edit: forget I said this, I'll check for bodies if boat is still there.

i've been told it's proppa name is windsurf island and they've loaned it out to the kiters for a bit until the redevelopment starts, and then they have to give it back

that's where we used to sail many moons ago, from Burrows street.

I'm talking well before kiters existed, back when the Cochrane brothers thought they were fast, and a certain Mr Brown was often seen on flat water.

And GreenLeader...not to worry, the microscopic version of google earth isn't out yet, so nothing to see here.

Sail there quite often. Kites have kind of claimed it.

"High tide you can go all the way across with a nice little lagoon effect."

On sunday i sailed the lagoon at jumpinpin in the north-westerly-great uncrowded spot! only a few moored boats to dodge.
then sailed 8km back down the Broadwater but ran out of wind at Tipplers and had to swim the rig in at south straddie. next time will have to take a bigger board to get through the lulls.

^ A BBQ Boat is about $180 and carries perhaps 10 people.
Leaves from Haircut's back door too.

Eh, eh?
