Don't forget - If, by some fluke of nature, tomorrow's seabreeze is bigger than predicted don't go rushing excitedly down to The Train because there will only be 1000's of numbered, lycra clad, yellow sunglass wearing athletes there, and bitter disappointment for you.
Oatland Esp or Land's End for me. I suppose you could launch from further north of the Train/KFC (maybe) or Sea World on the other side.
But I recommend a surf/swim. Beach was 10/10 this morning. ![]()

i am told that the channel in the distance towards coochie island throws up some very big swells on an outgoing tide. plus it is my local.

wello in a northerly is pretty good. especially with the swell direction.
mermaid should be good, however I may even look for a hitout down at currumbin you get more multiple jumps, mmmmm, decisions

I've done several downwinders from Thompsons Beach to Wello, and I personally haven't seen any sharks, but the guys have seen several.
Especially near Pt Halloran and at G J Walter Park at Cleveland when you come in around the mangroves where the Cleveland Ferry departs! ![]()
