Put the GoPro on the end of the boom and experimented with different angles.
Was a good 15-20knts NE enough for the 6.6

Yesterday was the first time I mounted it on the boom using the standard bicycle mount. I think is is best set under the boom and set square (as in my clip from 2:47 on, although should be angled down slightly rather than looking along the boom so the board will be in frame).
You'll then have to rotate the image 180' when editing. I set it to record on max quality and then add all the clips to movie maker to edit and publish.
The Gopro editing software downloaded from the GoPro site is good for editing if you want to zoom in on a particular part of the frame.

I have some parachute cord and elastic cord to tie it to the boom so if it do get knocked off it would still be attached.

Simon100's is a great clip, also means you can see what your stance is like and what your doing during gybes etc for self help improvements.

haha yeah i could see what i was doing in the gybes , thats why there all edited out .
Sorry i dont have that boom now so i cant get a pic but on the back of a north platinum there is a flat peice of carbon joining the 2 tubes , i just used one of the stick on mounts that come with the go pro and put it under the boom in the center , i was worried the sail might block the view but its barely noticeable . Those stick on mounts stick unbelievably well . One thing to be careful of though with it hanging under the back of the boom , one time the camera cliped the water and it undid the clip that holds the water proof case shut , almost lost my camera. The clip look as well designed as it could be for that not to happen but it did so next time ill put a bit of tape over it so the water cant get under.
