Had a late dash at Manly on the 4.7 and an 83 wave board. Really nice to be fully powered in those conditions again. I hope this weather is a sign of a great season coming on.
Met a young lad (Daniel) who has come into the sport from sailing dinghies. With the way he was handling his big old 5.1 and 100 litre + board in those testing conditions he may be a real contender around the course shortly. Great to see some of the younger dinghy sailers making the transition. All those years of buzzing past them yee haaring must be starting to work.
