Hit the water at the Grand this morning at 0630 wondering What is everyones earliest and latest sail, wind was around 20knts, notice seabreeze says SE but it was really feeling like ESE TO E,

Got to Wello bout 5:30am. In water bout 6:00am. Wind all but died bout 6:07 am. Had to walk gear back in from King Is.

Yep Mikeys rings me about 5:30am say he's on the way to wello.
looked at the beacons and went back to bed

Hey Sonic, whats the Grand like to sail at?

Any probls with boat traffic from the ramp?

Hey vando , when there is wind then maguire sits in the car and when there is no wind he goes for a sail , something to really think about

Hi Daneli,

Today was the first time for me at The Grand. Perfect for southerlies I would say. Absolutely impressive current in case of low tide, really strong! Didn't see any major boat traffic. All good.

Hi Daneli,

Just when the school hols are on the jet ski's are probably the worst as they have a course there, rigging area is limited but the wind really races around those highrises South to SSW is best anything else you mght as well go the Shearwater or the train, nice to see a few new faces there yesterday.Runout tide can be strong.
