Mmmm, lack of local knowledge cost me a mast today in the Alley, caught a few nice waves, rode one a bit too far into Laceys, got stuck with zero wind, decided to punt my way to the beach, got stuck with absolute no wind, and copped a dumper shore break 4 m from the bank, 1 snapped mast thanks very much, and the walk/swim of shame.
Up to that point was pretty good fun, albeit on and off.
I got there at about 2:30 and had a great 1.5 hours or so.
After 3 hours surfing this morning, all told a fantastic day.
feel at peace knowing your mast is in rig heaven with my 2 shredded sails and a couple of complete rigs (never to be seen again) owned by the crazy froggy 
What a top session - good to see a heap of people out mid week.
Some really nice waveriding happening today with alot people throwing huge sprays on their cutbacks and even some wave 360's going down.

'lost' the bottom half of my ezzy 430 today,
I'm happy to sacrafice a bit of kit to keep the alley monster happy.... was totally worth it too. 5 - 10 kts and some bad ass steam trains rolling through. bent a boom but my sail survived, can't fault SEVERNE sails for therir toughness ( PM me for my address to send the free gear thanks Ben )
