Look at those calves on Richifish, he must get out a lot. I must say you look a lot slimmer than the last article with you in it and your rashie over your buoyancy vest.

They need some from your collection to help them keep current. I wonder if you gave them to the papers would they put them in because the ground work had been done? It is probably the difficult and expensive part of the process and the article is probably written by someone looking for a story worth publishing.

If you want to skip the coaxial step - Wim, Adrian and myself bought ourselves blade MSR's to fly in the house / yard. Wim and Adrian both started from scratch and found them quite easy to learn with for a non coaxial. They are quite stable and robust, but fast and fairly nimble. To date, many heli heads feel the MSR gives you the best feel for a real cyclic that you can get from a micro heli, but obviously still somewhat limited as it is still a fixed pitch main rotor. well worth buying as a fist one

hot tip - don't get into the habit of cutting the throttle when u think the heli is about to crash, because with a normal bigger heli, by hitting the throttle hard u can often save it at the last second from a $50 minimum repair fee and 2 hours of rebuilding & re-trimming

maybe i missunderstood. you've already got a coaxial and now u r closer to buying a CP? sr looks nice for 300 ready to go. it's unfortunate it's a separate motor for tail but if the while thing is small and cheap then makes sense. i wonder how well the gyro will work as usually on the cheapos they are twitchy, but the msr's one was amazing, so maybe the sr one will be very good too

^ I suppose the trouble is one sport only works in wind and the other without. The two don't mix very well. Wouldn't like to be flying a little heli in 20 knots, probably equivalent to a cyclone.

Apparently you can adjust control response on (other?) programmable controllers, haven't looked into that yet. Brushless motors keep charge longer, more power yada yada. New to me too.

E.P - is there any footage of anyone looping or rolling the SR? I'm guessing it is 3d-able?

I don't want to sound like a sour sap, but if it's not going to let you learn rolls etc with negative rotor pitch capability, you might be as well off with the MSR to learn your basic forward flight like figure 8's in front of you and backward flight, because it looks like the MSR might still be quite a bit more durable than the SR. I think almost all crashes with the SR will require you to buy some parts. Most crashes with the MSR are nothing and you can keep flying straight away. Most of it is quite flexible and impact absorbing.

I think you guys might have too much time and money and possibly need to develop a healthy cocaine or gambling addiction????

Yep. You're right about the crashes though. Considering an mSR too/instead. One for indoor practise, the other for outdoor fun.



^ Looks like they've bound it to a better controller and tuned the curves etc., which is what I read you can easily do. I mean do you want any more performance than that???
