Has anyone got some idea how the river is I got some info from a mate staying at Woodgate saying the river is a mess with the floods heaps of debris in the water just like last year which wasn't too bad just had to watch out while sailing.
Also hows the chance of wind looking with lots of highs & lows around any of you experts got any predictions yet?

Is that from the rain Chris?

Hi Glynn,Geoff and myself sailed Burrum shortly after Oswalds visit, the bar had certainly taken a battering and seemed to be a fair bit lower and had migrated a bit.We have been desperately trying to get back for a sail before Windfest but have been let down by wind and tides. This coming week there is wind but the tides are wrong.
I think that the rain from Oswald was more than we are getting now and this would of cleared out most of the debris from the river.
Sorry not much help, hopefully Ray can fill us in as i think he is at Burrum doing some secret speed testing.

hi guys,

some of the local guys have been out along the bank as ploppy mentioned, when possible. so we are keeping an eye on the condition. the word from north is that yes it has changed somewhat but it will be ok as the tides during the event are low.

it does change every year to some degree as it's sand sitting on coffee rock.

the forecast is looking like i am nervous to talk about it incase it changes.
