Does anyone know what the banks are like at Burrum at the moment? Heading out this arvo, fingers crossed!
Cheers,
Steve
Big low tide, will plenty of bank exposed. Wind could make the
northern run the better option.Have fun.
Wind dropped right out when I arrived, so I walked out to the first marker to see if it was a wind direction issue. It wasn't it was just me arriving at the beach on a windy day -DOH! When you say northern run do you mean right out between the 2nd and 3rd markers or over the other side? Hard to say how deep it was but the other side had a section behind a low bar that whilst looked shallow looked awesome! Couldn't guess water depth as it was brown. Wind came back in after 5pm but I wasted my time walking out to the marker? With so much flat water It must be a freestyle/speed mecca on it's day.
yep steve, totally agree, it is a freestyle mecca for sure.
even at high tide it's still good straight off the beach and the water is crystal clear on the incoming tides except if lots of rain has occurred.
it's got so much to offer.
can we twist your arm to come along during windfest as well. you don't need to speed sail to have fun at windfest. each year we get some people along who aren't competing that come to join in the fun.
Would love to come along Justin, just might be hard to get away from family duties etc. We were living in the Bay for the last 6 months and I was really looking forward to it, sold my wave board and all. Missus cracked it and now we are back on the sunny coast (without a wave board!!!!!).
